Since some of our subscribers are on our Youtube channel, and some are on our Google Plus page. We decided to have a centralized way to communicate with everyone at the same time. So we have created a Twitter account to help keep our followers inform regarding new updates. Whenever we post something new on our Youtube channel or on our Google plus site, we will send a tweet to notify everyone.

This Twitter system will also be used in the future to notify people of evacuation site. For example, let's say as the environment collapses, and a particular state, region, or city is hit by a natural disaster. If we have a sanctuary among our Community ARK Project network that is located near the affected area. We will arrange for a temporary evacuation site to be set up, so that those of our subscribers who are affected by the disaster can come to the evac site and be taken out of harm's way to the nearby sanctuary. In this way, we ease the burden on the National Emergency System by helping to reduce the number of people in need. The resource saved can be redirected by the National Emergency System toward elsewhere that is needed.
Remember what happen to those people in Louisiana that were caught in Hurricane Katrina? They were all packed into the Superdome Sport Arena like sardine in a can, lacking access to basic supplies and sanitation. Learning from their mistake, we anticipate the future needs of our subscribers and are developing plans to help you avoid similar fate that was experienced by those affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Here is a rough outline of our plan of actions to help you get oriented, and get a sense of our vision and the scope of our project:
In Phase One, we focused on gathering people and then on gathering resources (both material resources as well as knowledge base resources). We will also be archiving technology vital to surviving the environmental collapse; as well as setting up transportation network similar to the famous Underground Railroad.
Once we've gathered sufficient people, we will move onto Phase Two; which is moving on site and constructing the infrastructures necessary to house, feed, cloth, and provide med-care for everyone. Once all the infrastructures necessary for the survival of the community have been built, we move onto Phase Three. Phase Three involve expansion of the carrying capacity of the community so that we can take in environmental refugee when the time comes; as well as re-development of certain key technology necessary to survive the environmental collapse. Once we have a fully functional prototype community ready to take in environmental refugee, we move onto Phase Four.
In Phase Four, we help other people in other areas replicate our model, thus creating a network of sanctuaries; and in doing so also create a network of knowledge database repositories. In other words, each community will also become a data ARK back-up facility. We are not simply preserving lives, we are also preserving knowledge. In this way, if one community is compromised, knowledge will be preserved in the other remaining communities in the network. Thus, by having back-up resources and knowledge stored in all the communities in the network, we can quickly help any compromised community to re-establish and restore itself to full self-sufficiency in a short amount of time. (As environmental refugee is rescued and integrated into the community, the new members will pay it forward by helping to build and expand the carrying capacity of the community, thus allowing for additional people to be rescued. In this manner, as the cycle repeat, more and more people can be rescued and they in turn help the community to grow infrastructurally also. Phase Four is part of the 100 years plan.)
We want to clarify that this Project is NOT about living out one's selfish & self-absorb homesteading dream, even though it has a lot of homesteading elements. We are using communal homesteading to achieve a higher purpose, a nobler cause, rather than for selfish interest. It is about creating SANCTUARY eco-communities to rescue people who will be caught unprepared as the environment collapses. (Preparing for an environmental collapse is very very different from preparing for social or economic collapse. It requires much more knowledge, planning, and an understanding of the grander scheme of things.)

There are many people who are awaken and aware, but they are scattered about like needles in a hay stack. The goal of the Community ARK Project in Phase One is to reach the ears of such awaken people and gather them.
Since we are in the Gathering Phase, we are looking for volunteer to help us in the following areas: (Please Note- you do not need to have skill in these areas, we will teach you. We are more interested in matching you with the task that you want to do; skill level is irrelevant since we are an organization specializing in building people up.)
"Advertisers" to help post our gathering ads in public forums and bulletin boards. *** (Important: At minimum, everyone must also pitch in with the advertisement task)
"Media artist/architects" to help us translate our vision into design plans and videos to showcase visually what the environment of the community will look like (we're going to be documenting the process of building the prototype community from beginning to end, so that others can use it as a step by step instructional manual to replicate). "Information guides" who will help answer people questions and help to educate and bring newly joined people up to speed. "Technology archivist/ re-developer" to organize the archiving of technology and the archiving of training systems necessary to survive the environmental collapse; as well as engage in re-development of certain key technology, which we have identified as vital to the community survival. All project will be public domain and open source.
"Co-coordinators", coordinate with the different groups and pitch in whenever helps is needed. (Everyone in this community will be both leaders and followers, base on their knowledge and the circumstances). For example, if there was a medical emergency, then those with medical skill will naturally assume leadership role and direct everyone else how to act and respond to the emergency base on their skill and expertise. This is similar to how those trained in CPR and 1st Aide direct passer by on what to do when they see an unconscious person. We are doing away with hierarchical social structure and creating a round table social structure, where everyone is both leaders and followers, which role they fill will depend on the particular problems that arises and their expertise.
As a visual reference, visualize building Mars colonies here on earth, designed to survive the emerging hostile environment. Update: In 2017, two years after we published this article, Dubai announce that they are building a Mars city in the desert called "Mars Science City". (Click here for more info about it). (Before delving into this topic, we would like to take the time to clarify a few things. Through out history, whenever humanity faces a threat, two behavior patterns emerges. One group of humans are drawn to wrestle with the threat in an attempt to change the outcome; while another group of humans are drawn to rescue people, to extract people out of harm's way. Consider the following. During the Chernobyl disaster, one group was sent to try and contain the radiation leak, while another group was sent to evacuate people from the surrounding communities. Whenever there is a wildfire, the firefighters are sent to wrestle with the fire; while the rescuers are sent to evacuate people out of harm's way. The path of the fireman is the path of strife and conflict, they are drawn to wrestle with the fire. Their priority is winning the wrestling match with the fire in order to change the outcome. The path of the rescuers is the path of peace, the path of humility, the path of the comforter. The rescuers impulses are to distance themselves away from strife and conflict. Their priority is the saving of lives by evacuating people away from the fire. Because this Community ARK Project takes the path of the rescuers, what we present below are from the perspective of the rescuers, and it can be misinterpreted as belittling or undervaluing the path of the fireman. We want to clarify that we do not undervalue the role of the fireman. We understand that the fireman actions are forestalling the encroaching proverbial "fire", buying us precious time to evacuate as many people as possible. So as you read this article please bear in mind that we very much respect those who are called upon to take the path of the fireman. Though each path has a different perspective and a different priority; we recognize that both paths have a role to play, and both paths have equal merits in the grander scheme of saving lives.)
So is there hope? Is there a way out of this deathtrap we have put ourselves in?
The answer is YES! There is HOPE! There is a way out, but NOT in the way many are expecting. As long as the leaderships of the world refuse to let go of their financial culture, refuse to change their ways of doing things, there is no hope in saving the world environment. As Albert Einstein said, "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
There is no hope in saving the surface environment, not because we don't have the technologies. Our civilization has the technologies to fix the situation (if people study old patents they will understand). There is no hope in saving the surface environment, not because we lack the resources. Our planet is full of resources to implement the necessary technologies to remedy the situation. There is no hope in saving the surface environment simply because we lack the necessary culture, the necessary ways of doing things. Every nation condition their citizens to be proud of their way of life, to fight for and defend their way of life. But few stop to think and ask. What if our way of life, our way of doing things is destroying the global environment and leading us toward extinction? Should we then continue that way of life? As long as our modern societies continue to operate in a financial and a competitive system, we cannot save our surface environment. Why? It's simple. The world environment can only be saved when all the people of the world come together and pool their resources to fix it. But competition separates and divides people; it forces them to deprive each others of access to resources and technologies in order to gain competitive advantages. So how can different people come together when their economic/financial competitions are pushing them apart, conditioning them to be at odds with each others? The simple answer is they cannot. So why do we need everyone in order to save the environment, why can't just a few organizations here and there do it? Consider this parable. There is a boat that is sinking because it is taking on water due to multiple leaks. One group of people on the boat is desperately trying to plug up the leaks, while another group on the boat continue to punch new holes causing more leaks. Can the boat be save? Of course not, the actions of one group would cancel out the efforts of the other group. The boat would still continue to take on more water, sinking further and further. We can draw the same similarity to our current world situation. We have groups here and there trying to address climate change, all the while corporations and nations continue to pollute the environment and pump even more external CO2 into the atmosphere, exacerbating the acceleration of climate change towards the point of no return.
There are those who think that if we could just get through to these corporations and nations; and get them to become aware of the harm they are doing that they would stop. What they failed to realize is, these corporations and nations are already aware of the situations, but they are unable to stop as long as we operate on a monetary system. To understand this, require a bit of knowledge in biology and psychology. If you are face with two threats coming at you, one threat is 30 feet away and the other threat is 2 feet away from you, which threat would you deal with first? You would deal with the closest threat first, the most immediate threat first of course. We humans are hardwired by our biology to focus our attention on the most immediate threat first. For corporations, the most immediate threat is not making monetary profit and going out of business in the present time. Therefore, these corporations are forced to cut corners and continue to pollute in order to make a profit. The devastating effects of an environmental collapse in the future is a distant threat to them. Similarly for nations, their immediate threat is not having monetary income to run their nations at the present time. Therefore, if these nations have fossil fuel natural resources, they are going to continue to exploit and sell them in order to gain the necessary revenue to keep their nation running. For example, in 2007 Russia supply 32.6% of total oil import to the EU (185 million tonnes of crude oil), and 38.7% of total natural gas import (100.7 million tonnes of oil equivalent of natural gas). The revenue generated helps to run their nation and maintain their military, allowing them to be a superpower. Are they going to stop selling the gas and oil and allow their nation to collapse, all for the sake of saving the global environment and preventing a future catastrophe? Of course not, no nations would. The biological drive for self preservation in the immediate present overshadow any future threat. Even if there was an alternative energy technology developed. Russia would have a vested interest to influence EU energy policies to continue to be reliant on fossil fuel. Just as gas, oil and coal companies here in the U.S. have a vested interest in influencing our domestic energy policies to continue to be reliant on fossil fuel. Do not be angry at them for their actions. If the shoe was on the other foot, and you were in their position, and your livelihood was threaten, you would do the same. (You have to take into consideration that vast amount of wealth were invested for decades into the development of coal, gas, and oil's refineries, mines, and pipelines. So those who've invested so much into them will naturally want a profitable return on their investment. So you've already know things are not going to change. It will be business as usual; it will be pollution as usual.) When the devastating effects of the collapsing environment reach their doorsteps, when it become an immediate threat instead of a distant threat; then the nations and corporations will sincerely act and change their ways. Unfortunately, it would be too little too late by then, like the Titanic. By the time people are ready to make sincere changes in their behaviors, the majority of the people on this "Titanic" planet would have been dead; but the minority few that are able to change their behaviors in the nick of time would survive.
Understanding this biological trap we are in, and recognizing that the pollution of external CO2 into the atmosphere will continue as long as our civilization continue to operate in a competitive monetary system; the rescuer's perspective see the futility in wasting resources and effort trying to save the surface environment, when any effort is negated by the continuing pollution. The rescuers see HOPE in investing resources and efforts to evacuate people out of harm's way by preparing people to survive as a network of fully self-sufficient communities. The way out of this deathtrap is to form network of communities that are specifically designed to operate in a new desolate environment; one that is emerging due to the collapsing global environment. This Community ARK Project see HOPE in applying knowledge and technologies that we've spent time researching (the ones that were intended for Mars colonies to thrive in a hostile environment). We see HOPE in using these very same knowledge and technologies to form a network of self-sufficient communities so that people can survive and have a future living in a desolate environment that is emerging back here on Earth.

To understand what is happening to our global environment one must approach it from a "zoomed out" and a physic point of view. There are 3 physic principles to consider. Firstly, the earth is nothing more than a ball of mass floating in space. All volume of mass has a fix capacity for energy. For example, if it takes 30 minutes to heat and melt a block of aluminum, it will take approximately twice as long to heat and melt the aluminum if the block size was double. The larger the block, the more mass there is, the larger the energy capacity; therefore the longer it takes to fill the energy capacity of that mass with the same rate of incoming energy. Bad things happen when one exceed the energy capacity of a mass. Consider the following. What happen when a battery is overcharged? It leaks or explode. What happen when a surge of electrical current exceed the Amp current rating of an electrical wire? It melts or explode, because the excess energy needs to escape somehow. This is easily visualized with a cup. The cup represent a mass with a fix energy capacity, when you overfill the cup capacity, any excess will simply overflow. For the earth, the leaking of this energy build-up drives earthquake, volcanic eruption, tornado, typhoon, hurricane, etc, etc....
The second physic principle to consider is the incoming and outgoing energy rate. As long as the rate of incoming energy equal the rate of outgoing energy, there will not be any build up of energy in the mass. Consider this example. I have a cup with a bunch of holes punched into the bottom of it. I begin to poor water into this cup. As long as the rate of water being poor into this cup is equal to or is less than the rate of water pouring out through the holes, the cup will never fill up. As I begin to plug up these holes, the outgoing rate begins to drop. The moment the incoming rate is greater than the outgoing rate, the cup will begin to fill; and when it exceeds the cup capacity, it will overflow. How quickly the cup fills depend on how great the difference is between the incoming rate and the outgoing rate. The greater the difference, the faster it fills up. This is easily demonstrated by simply tilting a water pitcher and allowing more water to pour into the cup, you will see that the cup will fill up very quickly. This imbalance between the two rates is the main mechanism behind the global climate change (a.k.a. global warming).
The third physic principle to consider is that of the electromagnetic field. When you run an electric current through a coil of wire you generate an electromagnetic field. The strength of the field is dependent on how much current run through the coil. The bigger the current, the stronger the field; the lesser the current, the weaker the field. And if there is no current running through the coil, the electromagnetic field collapse. Now what happen when the coil heats up? Those of you with electrical engineering background will know that as the temperature of a conductor rises, the resistance to current flow through that conductor also rises. So as the coil heats up, resistance to current flow rises and the electrical current flowing through the coil weaken leading to a weakening of the magnetic field. And if the coil heats up to a point where the resistance is so huge that it completely stop current flow, then the electromagnetic field collapse. For example. If one takes a portable handheld electric screwdriver and replace the bit with a drill bit and try to drill into a hard material for a long period; one will notice that the electric motor begins to slow down as it heats up due to rising resistance to the electric current flow. Eventually the electric motor heats up so much it stop working because the electromagnetic field that drive the motor have collapsed. The earth electromagnetic field (which act as a shield to deflect much of the solar energy heading toward the earth) are generated and operated by the same principle.
Now that we have these three physic principles under our belt, we can begin to analyze how they contribute to accelerating climate changes and the eventual collapse of the surface environmental system. (Note: We are aware of the the cyclical fluctuation in the sun energy
coming to the earth, hence we have cyclical ice age whenever the rate of
incoming energy is less than the outgoing rate. But for simplicity of illustration, we can averaged out this cyclical fluctuation over a long period of time and get an averaged constant rate of incoming energy. Thus, any deviation from this constant rate would be due to causes other than the natural cyclical fluctuation.)
For a very long time, the rate of energy coming to the earth from the sun was relatively equal to the rate of energy leaving the earth. The rate of energy leaving is determine by the surface area of the spheroid earth, which is pretty much fixed. (Surface area play a role in energy dissipation, this is why there are rows of tiny fins behind the refrigerator or air conditioner, in order to increase the surface area and thus increase energy dissipation). So the earth as a ball of mass remain in relative balance till about 1750 when the Industrial Revolution came on the scene. With the Industrial Revolution, companies began to pollute the environment on a massive industrialized scale; massive amount of external CO2 were pumped into the atmosphere. CO2 is a greenhouse gas that acts like an insulation layer to reduce the rate of outgoing energy. So dumping more and more external CO2 into the atmosphere is like wrapping the earth with more and more layers of insulation. This lead to a widening imbalance between the incoming and outgoing energy rate. This increasing imbalance leads to a faster and faster rate of energy build up in the earth, because more energy is coming in than going out. Which means the rate of energy exceeding the earth energy capacity and overflowing also increases. This translate to increasing frequency of natural disasters like earthquake, volcanic eruption, hurricane,typhoon, etc, etc... To visualize this on a small scale, simply try to heat and boil a pot of water and observe. In the beginning everything is calm, but as the body of water absorb the thermal energy and approach the boiling point a few small bubbles will start to form. Then the bubble forming will become more frequent, not only that but the size of the bubbles will start to increase. So not only will the frequency of natural disasters increase, but the magnitude, the strength of these natural disasters will increase also. Earthquake magnitude will rise on the Richter scale, volcanoes will erupt with more and more force and with increase frequency. To understand this, you can do a simple experiment. Make a cloth pouch, fill it with some ketchup, now squeeze the pouch slowly and you will see the ketchup ooze out through the pores of the cloth. Repeat the same experiment, only this time squeeze the pouch very quickly and you will see the ketchup squirt out very forcefully (hint : think volcanic eruption). The quicker you squeeze is akin to the faster the energy is building up in the earth. (Note: there is a profound difference between CO2 whose carbon came from the current organic cycle vs. CO2 whose carbon came from outside this organic cycle, hence we call it "external CO2". These external CO2 are created when methane(CH4), coal(matrix of carbons -C-C), and mineral oils(chains of hydrocarbons -CH2) are combusted. It is these external CO2 that are responsible for the increase in global CO2 level leading to the insulation effect that reduce the outgoing energy rate. More in dept discussion of this topic will be covered in a different blog.)
Unfortunately, this is not the only thing that is going on. As the earth temperature rises (i.e. thermal energy building up), the resistance to current conduction in the earth core rises, causing the electrical current flow to drop, leading to the weakening of the earth electromagnetic field. As the field weakens, it allows more solar energy to come through, thus heating up the earth even more. As the earth heats up more, current flow resistance rises even more and the electrical current flow drops even further; which weakens the electromagnetic field even more. Thus the cycle keep repeating itself, compounding the effects on top of each others. In essence, the process is accelerating the rate of thermal energy build up in the earth system. Those of you with engineering background will recognized that this is a positive feedback loop. The failure of nuclear reactors like those at Chernobyl, 3 Miles Island, and Fukushima Daiichi follow the exact same format. Some initial incident initiate an imbalance between the rate of energy incoming versus outgoing from the reactor system. As the energy build up in the system, it boils away the coolant and dropping the rate of energy leaving the system even further, thus triggering the feedback loops. The feedback loops lead to an accelerated rise in energy build-up till it exceeded the energy capacity of the system. When that happens, you end up with either a core meltdown, an explosion, or both. Understanding this, we begin to recognize that we are living on the surface of a giant run away reactor. What is most perplexing is that, with run away nuclear reactor scenarios, people scramble their butts to address the problem; but with the earth's run away reactor scenario, we are dragging our feet.
The collapsing magnetic field is not the only factor contributing to the acceleration of global warming (a.k.a. climate change). As the earth heats up, the increased temperature also raises the evaporation rate of bodies of water (i.e. oceans, seas, etc..). On top of this, as the polar ice melt it raises the sea level and flooding areas of the earth, which in turn increase the surface area of these bodies of water. Increasing the surface area additionally contribute to raising the evaporation rate of these bodies of water. Consider this experiment. We have two equal volume of water, one is held in a cup, while the other is spread out over a large area on the table. The one spread out over the table will evaporate much quicker then the one held in a cup because of the larger surface area it occupied. As the evaporation rate increases, this translate to an increase in water vapor in the atmosphere. Water vapor is a potent greenhouse gas also; which acts to absorb and retain the thermal energy, thus reducing the rate of energy leaving the earth even further. In essence, the water vapor compound the insulation effect caused by rising CO2 level. We can easily see this property of water by doing the following experiment. Heat a block of aluminum and a cup of water with the same about of thermal energy. We will see that the aluminum block cools down much faster than the cup of water, because the water hold onto the thermal energy much longer. If we are observant, we'll realize that the increasing evaporation rate enter into a positive feedback loop similar to the collapsing electromagnetic field. The increased in evaporation rate leads to increased insulation effect, which lowered the outgoing energy rate, allowing more thermal energy to build up; this in turn increase the evaporation rate. Thus the cycles repeat themselves, compounding the effects upon each other.
So as we can see, global warming is increasing not at a linear rate but at an exponential rate due to the compounded effects of continue dumping of external CO2 into the atmosphere as well as the triggered feedback looping of the collapsing electromagnetic field and the triggered feedback looping of water bodies evaporation. What this mean is that the time interval between one natural disaster and the next is getting shorter and shorter exponentially. We are quickly running out of time and are fast approaching the point of no return. What is a point of no return? It is a point where no matter what one does, the intervention can no longer change the outcome. An example is the fate of the Titanic. By the time they spot the iceberg and try to make a drastic course correction, it was too late, the ship had gone pass the point of no return. No matter how sharp they turned the boat, it still collided with the iceberg. When we combine these understanding with the fact that people have been warning the world about global warming and its devastating effects as far back as 1970 (to the best of our knowledge), we begin to realize how dire the situation is. We have squandered about forty years. Forty precious years that could have been used to change the outcome or at least to prepare our societies for the effects that they will face; yet neither was done, and all the while the process is accelerating at an exponential rate toward the point of no return.
So why are people freezing their butts in certain parts of the world if there is global warming? To understand this, simply examine a thermal infrared image of a storm system.

We will notice that the heat are being suction up into the vortex. So as the vortex of these storm systems pass through a local region, heat are being drawn up leaving in their wake very low temperature. As a consequence, the stronger the storm system, the stronger the vortex, and the colder the local region gets as these storm systems pass through the area suctioning up the heat. So as global warming continues to accelerate, the build up in thermal
energy will drive the storm system stronger and stronger, so it will get
colder and colder in the localized region when these storm system pass
through. As an example, consider what happen when a glass of lemonade
is made. As one swirl the spoon in the lemonade glass, a vortex is
made; the more energy one puts into swirling the spoon, the stronger the
vortex is created. Another way to visualize this is to consider the function of the fan in the back of a computer. The fan is there to suction out the heat from inside the computer and blow it out the back, the stronger the fan rotates, the more heat is suctioned out. In a similar fashion, the vortex of a storm acts like a fan that suction heat from one area and blow it out into another, the stronger the vortex is, the more heat it will suction up. It is unfortunate that when people lacking science knowledge hear the term "global warming" they assume that everywhere on the globe should be getting hotter all the time due to the literal interpretation of the vocabularies of the term . As a result, there is apathy towards treating the situation seriously; since their interpretation is contradicted by the coldness they experienced when these storm systems pass through the area they live in.
We will now examine how the accelerating global warming leads to the collapse of the surface environmental system. To understand this, we start at the bottom of the food chain which are the simple micro-organisms which feed more complex organism above them. As organism goes from complex to simple their range of tolerance for environmental changes (temp, pH, chemical concentration, etc.) diminishes. For example, we human is a very complex organism, so we can withstand a greater range of temperature variation without adverse affects to our reproduction rate. But the bacteria, which is more simpler, their range of temperature tolerance is much more narrow. A deviation of few degrees from their optimum growth temperature and the bacteria reproduction rate drop drastically. Anyone who've taken a college microbiology lab class will recall having to do an experiment to determine the optimum growth temperature of bacteria colonies. You would inoculate several petri dishes with a sample bacteria batch, then incubate each petri dish at a different temperature. After several days you would count the bacteria populations and make a graph of bacteria population vs. temperature. You would have noticed you got a bell shape curve, where the optimum growth temperature is at the center of the bell curve and as the temperature deviate from this optimum temperature, the bacteria population would drop off drastically. In a similar fashion, as global temperature rises, it adversely impact the reproduction rate of the organisms at the bottom of the food chain. As the population of these organisms shrink drastically, those organisms that are dependent on the bottom tier ones as their food source will starve and start to die off; which in turn affects those above them. This process cascade itself up the food chain. This is why fisherman are starting to catch deep sea animal in shallower water, and why strange deep sea creature never seen before are starting to wash ashore. As the food chain collapse, the sea animals are force to expand their search range for food (similar to when there is a drought in a local region of Africa and people are forced to migrate out to other regions in search of food). When these deep sea animal travel too far up in search for food, the drop in pressure can be lethal to them, they die and wash ashore. In addition, as the magnetic field weakens further and further, more and more solar energy will get through and scorch the earth surface. In the beginning, we will experience more and more wildfire in different parts of the world. Consider what happens every summer when the northern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun and there is a slight increase in solar energy, we get wild fire in places like Malibu,CA. In the winter when the southern hemisphere is tilted toward the sun, we get wild fire in places like Australia. All these events are happening while the earth magnetic field is still on. Consider what will happen when the earth magnetic field is severely weaken or collapse, and it can no longer protect us from the full brunt of the sun solar energy, and the hemisphere are tilted toward the sun?
The wildfire is only the beginning, as the solar energy intensity increases it will penetrate the ground and start to cook and kill off the micro-organisms in the soil. Soil micro-organisms create and maintain a bio-matrix that helps to hold the soil particles together. (Ever notice that when you try to blow the dust off the top of an old book shelf that there still remain a thin layer of dust that sticks to the shelf? This sticky film of dust is the bio-matrix created by the micro-organisms in the air that have settled there.) When the micro-organisms of the soil die off, the bio-matrix collapse and the soil becomes dust like, easily pick up by the wind and turn into a dust storm. The Great Dust Bowl in the 30's came about by a similar mechanism. The over use of chemical fertilizer led to a build up of high concentration of chemicals in the soil beyond the tolerance level of the micro-organisms; compounded with a series of drought, they led to the destruction of the soil micro-organisms and the collapse of the bio-matrix that keep the soil from blowing off. Since the dust storm travel, it will deposit the dust into neighboring region, sometime up to several feet thick. The combination of dust deposit and static electrical discharge (due to the rubbing of dust particles in the turbulent winds) destroyed agriculture production in the neighboring areas as well.

So as the earth magnetic field weakens, the increase penetration of the sun solar energy will start to destroy more and more regions of the earth soil, causing more and more dust storms to appear in different parts of the globe. Which then will travel and destroy agricultural land and ecological system in neighboring regions. This process has already started, but few seem to recognize the seriousness this portend. Though seemingly benign at first, these dust storms will get worst and worst and more frequent; in a similar fashion to how the Great Dust Bowl first started. The only difference is, this time it is occurring on a global scale, multiple regions around the world will be experiencing this. After communicating with many people, we began to realize that everyone has a
different vision and understanding of what a community is. To ensure that everyone in this project is on the same page with a consensus understanding, this project defines a community as the following....
A
community is an organization, system, or collection of people who "want" to live
and work together; it is NOTDEPENDENT on money to function or maintain. (To be clear: though we will not be dependent on money to function or to maintain our community at the local level; we will still be generating income taxes for the state & the federal level. This is accomplish through community cooperative business ventures that generate income for the members of our community, who in turn pay federal & state income taxes. And when members of our community spend those money on goods and services, such as when they travel to visit other places in America, or on luxury goods, or on specialized tools and machinery that we can't make ourselves, they will help to generate additional tax dollars for the state & federal level.)

In other words, a community is any organization, system, or collection of people that is fully self-sufficient and self-sustaining. The
product of their labor (be it intellectual or physical labor) directly improve
their community and their local environment, which in turn enhances their
quality of life. Many so-called communities are not a community according to this definition, but are in reality a collection of individualists cohabiting the same area for business/economic sake. When that economic
source is removed, the people leave and their town/city collapse. The numerous
abandoned mining towns since the Western days of the U.S. are examples of this. When the mine dried up, the miners
left and all the business that cater to these miners also left and the town
collapsed; which tells us that the people did not come there to live together in
the first place. They came for the money, for the economic opportunities. If you
analyze all the modern abandoned cities & townships, you will see they follow the exact same pattern; remove the economic source and they collapse. Why? Because they were never a
community to begin with. If the economic source was to be removed from a true community that is not dependent on money to function or maintain. Not only will that community not collapse, but instead the people will work together to create a new different economic source for their community.
When we examine the Mayflower colony, we see that they fit our project's definition of a community. The colony was formed by people who wanted to live and work together. With the help of Native Americans they acquired the necessary local knowledge to adapt and thrive in a new environment, allowing them to create a fully self-sufficient and self-sustaining system; which ensured that everyone were fed and sheltered. The fruits of their labor were re-invested back into their community to help improve their quality of life. Every year across the U.S. we celebrate Thanksgiving and remember the Mayflower colonist, but yet not a single school teach the young generation the wisdom behind their success. The wisdom of having a fully self-sufficient & self-sustaining community, composed 100% with people who want to live and work with each others.
In time as more people join this project, we will be able to add and
update information with their help. The information will be added as
one of three possible format. If it comes in videos format, then it
will be posted on the YouTube account associated with the project site.
If it comes in pictorial format such as architectural drawings, then it
will be posted on the main Tumblr website under the "posts" tab. And if
it comes in text format then it will be posted as a blog like this one,
which is also linked from the Tumblr site.
You
must understand that building a community is a complex and arduous
task. It require enormous amount of information to be successful,
something that cannot be communicated in a few conversations. One
cannot just condense a few hundred years of information into just a few
email here and there. We have spent most of our lives doing the leg work
gathering all these information, so it is not something that we can just
convey with a few conversations. So please bear that in mind when you
wish to know more about this project. Don't just simply say I like to
get more information, please be specific as to what area of information
that concern you the most and would like to know more of. When someone
is genuinely interested in the project, we would begin the process of
teaching them, in order to transfer what we know to them; and this is not
a short process.
To illustrate the point here is an
example. Many who join a start up community focused their energy on
building and establishing the community, but did not spend time & energy to
consider what are needed to maintain that community in the long run.
The numerous ghost towns and failed commune through out history is a
testament to this lack of foresight. Thus learning from history, in
order to assure the success of this community project, we had to spend
time researching into the different viking start up villages, the
different early American colonist communities, the different cowboy and
mining towns in Western United States. We then had to look for the
repeating pattern of success as well as patterns of repeated failure, so
that this community project will know what to implement and what to
avoid. We had to do comparative analysis between communities that
succeed and those that failed and identified the contributing factors.
For instance, why did the Mayflower colonist succeed while those of
James town failed? Even though they both start out with similar
population size and similar technology level, and even though they both
faced harsh challenges. Why was it that the Mayflower
people was able to establish friendly relation with the Native people
and pull together during tough time, while the people of Jamestown made
enemy of the Natives and turn on each other during tough time? The people of Jamestown even cannibalized each other. There was something fundamentally
different in the way the Mayflower people think & acted and in the way the Jamestown people think & acted that affected their outcome.

Our goal is to evacuate the innocents and penitents who are awaken, who are in need of a helping hand to get out. We focus our energy constructively in getting people out of harm's way as a community, not as individual. Therefore, (purpose wise, vision wise) we lay bare our cards on the table, so the viewers can make informed decisions whether to join or to collaborate with us.

However, please do not ask statistical nor generalized probing questions into our organization. It is rude and of poor etiquette. If a stranger comes knocking at your door and start asking questions about who are your friends, where are they, what assets do you have or where are these assets? Would you not find such questions disconcerting and rude? So please be respectful when you communicate with us. Beside, if a person is truly interested in our vision and our project, their questions should revolve around subject matters related to the project, and not around who we are. What is more important, the messenger or the message being delivered? Should it matter who the postman is? For prideful people, the outward appearance of the postman matter. But for humble penitent people, the outward appearance of the postman is of no importance. What is of importance is the letters and packages being delivered by the postman.
People will naturally come to know us as they collaborate with us. Trust is best established when people work together to achieve a common goal and vision; because as we work together, we will come to know each other true self. For example, a prospective employee can buff and embellish his resume all he wants, but the truth will come out when he is actually employed and is asked by the employer to perform those tasks he claimed he can do. Therefore, it is inefficient for us to waste time going into detail about our organization. The longer people collaborate with us, the more they will come to know about us.)
Understand that all the linked videos on our YouTube Channel, and the blogs posted so far are not icing on the cake. They are not there for decorations. They are the meats, the substances with which we establish effective and efficient communications. We communicate using an advanced hybrid language system (a hybrid of the language of the arts and the language of letter & science). All language system and ciphering system start out teaching vocabularies, upon which sentences are created to communicate complex thoughts and understanding to others. The linked videos and blogs serve to provide background knowledge and background understanding, (the equivalent of vocabularies) so that you can comprehend our communications.
Because we are a civilized organization, we needed a way to filter out violent people. Violent people by nature are short-temper, argumentative, and impatient. A non-threatening means of filtering out violent people is to make people read, which require patience. (Remember: Violent ignorant people do not like to spend time reading, while peaceful intelligent people have the necessary patience to read, ponder & critically analyze what they read). The Shaolin Monks in the ancient days applied similar understanding to filter out violent people, who wanted to join so they can learn martial art for evil intention. Thus, instead of rejecting a person outright, the monks would simply let a person wait outside the monastery gate, and waited, and waited, and waited. A violent person would not have the patience to wait around, they would get bored and left. So instead of the monks rejecting the violent person, it is the violent person who rejected the monks; thus, there's no animosity nor resentment toward the monks. When violent people are rejected, they tend to harbor resentment and animosity toward those who have rejected them. For example, a disgruntled employee who has been fired (i.e. rejected) by the employer. Another example is a jilted lover who is angry for being drop. Similar filtering system is employed in modern day University. A professor doesn't kick out a student from his/her class for not doing the reading assignment. If a person doesn't do the assigned readings, he/she will not understand the professor lectures, and simply fall further and further behind as the course progresses. At some point, the person will become bored because he/she doesn't understand anything the professor says, and simply quit the course. If you truly are a peaceful person yearning to be a part of building a peaceful community, then it is very important that you spend the time to read the blogs and pay attention to the linked videos on our You Tube Channel. There is a reason why we have invested our time to write these blogs and link these videos. These videos and blogs are like color tiles in a mosaic picture, or like different letters cut out from different magazines and rearrange into sentences to communicate. By themselves they might not hold much meaning; but collectively, they formed a picture that communicate hidden complex messages. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words.
